Rebecca currently studies the trumpet at the Royal Northern College of Music where she is taught by John Miller. As well as her classical studies with John, Rebecca studies the natural trumpet with visiting tutor David Hendry and jazz trumpet with visiting tutor Stephen Waterman.

Prior to studying at the RNCM, Rebecca was a member of the Wandsworth Pops Orchestra (WPO) from 2010-2016 and has performed as a soloist with the orchestra on tour in Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and Barcelona as well as at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. With the WPO, she has also performed at The Royal Festival Hall on numerous occasions and she once performed the off-stage solo from Bizet’s ‘Carmen’.

In 2016 Rebecca was awarded a place to study at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she studied with Andy Mitchell and Ellie Lovegrove. During her time there, Rebecca was involved in many different ensembles including Brass Dectet, Brass Band, Big Band and Symphony Orchestra. In her final year, she was awarded the Brass Instrument Prize. Rebecca was also offered a place in the London Schools’ Symphony Orchestra in 2016. During her time in the orchestra, Rebecca has played the off-stage solos from Beethoven’s ‘Leonore Overture’ at the Barbican, the first movement of Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto on tour in Germany and in her final year she was principal trumpet.
